Meet The Doctors
Victoria Nielsen, DDS
We’re excited to welcome Dr. Nielsen as the newest associate dentist at CBD Dental! Born and raised in Bogalusa, LA, Dr. Nielsen grew up in a healthcare family. Both parents are pharmacists but she was drawn to a profession that allowed her to work hands-on with patients and build personal connections. That passion led her to dentistry. After graduating from Pope John Paul II High School in Slidell, she attended Louisiana State University, where her interest in dentistry continued to grow. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery at LSU School of Dentistry.
Since then, Dr. Nielsen has been practicing dentistry and living in Baton Rouge. Recently engaged to her fiancé, Patrick, Dr. Nielsen is thrilled to be returning to the New Orleans area to serve the local community. Her goal is to make every patient feel welcome, heard, and comfortable; turning each visit into a positive and enjoyable experience. Outside the office, Dr. Nielsen enjoys spending time with her dog, Winnie, going on walks, and traveling to new places with Patrick. We’re delighted to have her join our team and can’t wait for our patients to meet her!
Brian J. Schmidt, DDS
Dr. Schmidt is a New Orleans native and currently resides in Destrehan. He has been a part of the CBD Dental team since 2012 first as an associate and now as the owner. Dr. Schmidt is married to Brittany and they have a son named Wyatt and a daughter named Wrynn.
Dr. Schmidt enjoys traveling, fishing, hunting, and is an avid Saints, Pelicans, and LSU fan.
Dr. Schmidt continues to take numerous continuing education courses to stay up to date with all of the latest dental technology and procedures.
Dr. Schmidt attended Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie then went on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Schmidt is a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, New Orleans Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
